Time is of the essence,
I
always hear them say
And
with all good conscience,
Work
while it’s still your day;
For time
is what you take it
To
be, your friend or foe,
It’s
the kind of spirit,
That
keeps you in the know;
So
time will not be wasted,
On useless,
thoughtless acts,
Those, when you have tasted,
The
Lord’s true Spirit lacks;
For
you, time’s not waiting,
Take
it not for granted,
Idle
talk and wasting,
Cannot
be recanted;
Time
for you is precious,
Whether
you’re old or young,
For
your life’s victorious,
When
in Christ, you’re kept strong;
Strong
to be His witness,
Through
His Spirit’s working,
Come
now, seek forgiveness,
For
time mismanaging;
To
you God’s been faithful,
There’s
still time given you,
Do
not be unmindful,
He’s work for you to do.
Amen!
