Following Jesus

FOLLOWING JESUS – Are you following Jesus? Don’t be hasty in your response, but listen carefully to Jesus’ clear distinct words about those who follow Him. First, there must be self-denial. Have you denied yourself, not in part but the whole? Unless this is done there is no second step for you. The second move is the daily taking up of your cross. Don’t be naïve about this. If you don’t deny yourself fully, there will be no cross for you to take up. Thirdly, you must follow Jesus, no one else. Note carefully that you cannot follow without your daily given cross. Are you following Jesus?  

Jesus, let me not live in some fool’s paradise about my relationship with You, please. Amen!
