EVIL PERSONIFIED – Do not be naïve! In our day and time, there are many who carry the mind, manner and mission of people like Herod. He is a leader, wielding power in some most dangerous and wicked ways. His ego is being puffed up and there is no turning back for him. When God’s servant goes to him to correct him, he imprisons him, adding this evil to all his other evils. Ensure that you are not as Herod, even in small ways, being nasty, and vile to those who call you out on your sinful behaviour.
Father, help me to see the error of my ways when I am told and not be stubborn and arrogant in my sin. Amen!
