Human-Made Temples

HUMAN-MADE TEMPLES – Paul is in Athens, where the people there are not unlike many of us today. They are a very religious people, worshipping a pantheon of different gods, including the One True God. They treat Him like all other gods and have made a home for Him. Many of us worship God, but we also worship things such as money, fame, family, possessions and more. Paul had to tell them, as he still tells us now, that God does not abide in any temples made by hands. Take care that you are not building edifices for the Lord in which He will never live.

 

Educate me, Holy Spirit, and show me the way. Amen!
