A New Place

 

Thank You God for giving us a new place,

A place of privilege, a place of grace,

In this New Year, this time of receiving,

Lord, teach us how to live in Your giving,

For You have let us a New Year to see,

May we with grateful hearts give thanks to Thee.

 

A new place, new dawn, a fresh, renewed mind,

Life in You Lord is what You say we’ll find,

You have not given us a life of fear,

Of Your promises we must be aware,  

For You’ve given us Your Holy Spirit,

May we with open hearts to Him submit.

 

Glory to God, a new place is ours,

Blessing on us in abundant showers,

Hope in this New Year has been lifted high,

How can we Your grace and mercy deny?

How can we harbour evil’s fears and doubts,

When goodness encompasses us about?

 

A new time and place, a New Year given,

By our Father, who art in heaven,

Peace, joy and goodwill is still our gain,

When God, as Sovereign, in our lives doth reign,

We praise and give You thanks for this new place

Of heart, mind and spirit, through saving grace.
