ASH WEDNESDAY – As we begin this most solemn, yet unspeakably rich and bountiful time of Lent, we are encouraged to pause for a moment, in deep reflection, as we consider the grace that has been bestowed upon us, as our Saviour suffered, bled and died for us sinners. We think of those forty days and forty nights which He so willingly endured, that we might become the righteousness of God. In this moment, let us bow before our wonderful, loving Saviour, and give Him all that we have and are. Will you let this Lenten Season be different, as you draw nearer and nearer to God, as the Spirit enables?
Holy God, thank You for this Ash Wednesday and the opportunity You have given me to draw even closer to You. Amen!
