Your Word

 

Your Word is a lamp to my feet, weary, 

That takes away all of its heaviness,

You make them light like the deer’s, surefooted,

Your Word takes away all my unsureness.  

 

Your Word is a lamp to my feet, all blind,

That removes from me all my ignorance,

Making them wise to the deceiver’s ploys,

Your Word gives perfect wisdom and guidance.

 

Your Word is a lamp to my feet, so dark,

That eliminates all my doubts and fears,

Changing my stumbling, blundering gait,

Your Word, the produce of discernment bears.

 

Your Word is a lamp to my feet of faith,

Anchoring, guiding, in myriads of ways,

Feet obedience, in daily surrender,

Your Word, its beauty in such feet displays.
