Prayer From Hell

PRAYER FROM HELL – We use the word ‘hell’ freely, to speak of our situations. We make statements such as: At the moment, it is hell at work. This experience is a nightmare, a living hell. I am going through hell at the moment with this child of mine. All that is being said is that our present situation is totally out of our control and it is dark and scary. Such situations are to be expected, for we are all sinners, living in a divisively sinful world. Nevertheless, regardless of how dark and dismal a place we are in, we must pray. We can still pray, for our Lord hears us. Jonah’s time in the belly of a fish was no luxury time. He prayed and God heard him.

 

Hear my cry, O Lord, from this place of living hell. Amen!
