Privilege Of Prayer

PRIVILEGE OF PRAYER – Too many of us pray, as though prayer is a right which we have earned, or gained through some good deeds which we have done. We sometimes come with this notion even, that because we believe in God and worship only Him, we are entitled. The Pharisees believed in God and worshipped Him religiously. However, Jesus denounced their attitude in and to prayer. When we keep our eyes on God and who He is, there is no way that we, sinful creatures, can come nigh to Him, but through the privilege given to us through Jesus. It is the work of Jesus on the cross, which humbles us all and gives us this privilege.

 

Holy Spirit, Divine Teacher, teach us prayer at all times, please.  Amen!
