THE BLASPHEMER – Believe it or not, many Pharisees, Sadducees, scribes, teachers of the Law and elders – in fact, the majority of the members of the Sanhedrin – saw Jesus as a blasphemer. They treated Him as one and although they could see the miracles and good works which He did among all people, they saw Him as a deceiver, imposter and a son of the devil. How is Jesus referred to today? What are we being told about Him by our shepherds, teachers and leaders? Be ever so mindful and don’t fall prey to those who still see Jesus and His servants as blasphemers.
Forgive us Lord Jesus, that we, mere humans, dare to call Your Precious Son a blasphemer. Forgive us and grant us the humility to die to all we think we are and bow low to Jesus. Amen!
