Stupendous
love it mystifies,
Love
before whom the sinner dies,
Love
that reaches the soul’s deep need.
Mysterious
Love for You I plead.
Stupendous
love, wrongs rectify,
And
deepest longings satisfy,
Love
powerful in might and reach,
Effectual
to save sinners, each.
Stupendous
Love still justifies,
As each
to His leading complies,
O
Love that captures and makes new,
Ineffaceable,
through and through.
Stupendous
Love it glorifies,
For
Love the sinner’s food supplies,
In
times of famine or of drought,
Love’s
bounteous table ne’er runs out.
Stupendous
Love how can I deign,
To
think that in me You will reign?
Transcending
Love, renders me dead,
That
I may live Your life instead.
Stupendous
Love, ineffable,
Love
that came in dress all humble,
Unspeakable,
unending grace,
Love
diffused to our human race.
Amen!
