Soldier Of Christ

 

O soldier of Christ, fight on, yes fight on,

The battle you fight has already been won,

The Lord is with you, He is on your side,

Keep your guard up, let it not drop or slide,

For faith is your guard that will keep you strong,

Ere the enemy pursues you all day long.

 

O soldier of Christ, move up, yes move up,

The foe must be vanquished, you can’t now stop,

The Lord’s already placed victory in your hands,

Be His true soldier, obey His commands,

Trust is your companion it won’t you fail,

Though attacks keep coming they’ll never prevail.

 

O soldier of Christ, bore through, yes bore through,

Through the battle’s thick smoke, lead on all you do,

The Lord has not left you, though He’s not in view,

His words in your heart, keep holding to you,

Hope is your walk, it keeps you persevering,

While the battle rages, you’ll be unswerving.

 

O soldier of Christ, hold strong, yes hold strong,

Though the time of fighting appears very long,

The Lord does not count time by your human clock,

No long raging battle for Him is a block,

Let His mind in you keep you fast, well anchored,

Attack and defend, in Christ you have conquered.

 

O soldier of Christ, press on, yes press on,

Remember! Your foe is the defeated one,

The Lord’s given you His Word, you nothing lack,

Despite the enemy’s fiercest attack,

The Sword of the Spirit none can defeat,

Wield it without fear, see foes die and retreat.
