Advent Words

 

 

 

Advent words still ring through loud and clear,

Fear not! Are the words many did hear,

As God’s Good News rang out in the air,

Peace, goodwill to people everywhere.

 

Advent Words still burst through every cloud,

Clouds of despair that would our lives shroud,

But God’s words of true hope, ring out loud,

Through His Son in whom He’s pleased and proud.

 

Advent Words pierce through our every fear,

Even when we are most unaware,

God sends His words so that we can hear,

The message of peace, made crystal clear.  

 

Advent Words aren’t held by the darkness,

Despairing news that bring gloominess,

God’s news brings us joy and hopefulness,

Jesus has come, He’s our Righteousness.

 

May Advent Words pierce through each sad heart,

May peace cause fears from us to depart,

May we receive all in full, not in part,

May Advent Words in us, ne’er depart.
