Like Mary, let me
know humility of heart,
To listen to Your
call, Your desire for me,
And though I see my
obvious unworthiness,
Help me lose all my
self-thoughts and bow down to Thee.
Like Mary, though I think,
how can such a thing be?
Since there’s
nothing in me, to prepare me for such
A calling, a work,
or a mission of such grace,
Everything is
possible through Your Spirit’s touch.
Like Mary, grant me
the sweet joy of acceptance,
To believe God can
use a weak being, mortal,
To carry for a time
His conceived living Word,
In carnal flesh, the
Invisible, Immortal.
Like Mary, steel me
to face any disproval,
Human thoughts,
viewing me as an adulterer,
In my body I bear
proof of one unfaithful,
None but the visited,
will know God’s planned order.
Like Mary, hold me safe
through this fruit-bearing time,
Ever make me aware, keeping
always in mind,
You’ve made me a
chosen vessel, Your Word to grow,
Your miracle works, supernaturally designed.
Like Mary, grant me
the strength to give Your Word life,
Let me joy in the
manger where it’s given birth,
When Your Word comes
forth and is made public to all,
Your Living Word
transform lives, all over the earth.
Amen!
