Turner of trouble and
Turner of bad,
You who bring hope to the
fainting and sad,
Look with pity on this sad
heart of mine,
Save me from fears that will
make me, resign
To a mind that says,
You have turned from me,
That You no longer
have eyes me to see,
That You have turned
away Your hearing ear,
And left me in
darkness and in despair.
Changer of evil
turning them to good,
Whatever You wish to
do, that You could,
Before You I bow in
deep repentance,
To You I fall in
complete dependence,
For You O Turner,
can change the worst face
And make what’s bitter
have a pleasant taste,
You are the Changer
of evil and wrong,
Change me O Love for
to You I belong.
You who change my
wrong, and bring my delight,
Restore me, who
before You have fallen
Because, to evil my
life I’ve given,
Look down at my sad heart
that longs for Thee,
Will You listen to my
penitent plea?
If it’s Your will,
will you grant me favour?
I seek Your pardon,
O Lord my Saviour.
Amen!
