IN MY PAIN

O Lord, if You are in my pain,

Then it cannot but lead to gain,

For You are holy, good and right

Help me in faith to know its sight;

And when my pain’s too much to bear,

Will You please let me Your voice hear?

Just let me know I’m not alone,

And that my pain by You is known.

O Lord, if You my pain can feel,

And choose this moment me to heal,

Then I will praise Your precious Name;

But I will praise You just the same,

If Lord, my pain continues on,

For what You do Lord is well done;

Just grant me please, in this moment,

To know Your grace is sufficient.

O Lord if in my pain You dwell,

Will You then to me some word tell?

Your word of comfort, peace and hope,

That gives me needed strength to cope;

Just speak Your Word Lord, in my pain,

Speak, that I may hear it again,

For if Lord, in my pain You are,

I know You’re with me; You’re not far.
