God has been nothing but all good to me,
For it is in Him I can now live free,
From paths of doubts, and each unsure maybe,
As He makes my spirit with His agree.
God has been all good, how can I say nay?
Even when days were bleak, dismally gray,
When I was confused and knew not the way,
Despite my weakness, He remained my stay.
God has been all faithful to hold me fast,
What else is there with my Lord to contrast?
Who else can claim love like His to outlast?
Before You I stand Lord, amazed, aghast!
God has been working only for my good,
Though I know I’ve not trusted, as I should,
When mountainous trials before me stood,
Yet He kept and saved me, because He would.
God has been nothing but all good to me,
And in this moment I utter this plea,
Take my life, I give it to You only,
That it bring honour and glory to Thee.
Amen!
